The Town of Frisco
Frisco was originally a mining town, founded in 1886. Today, centered in the middle of Summit County with easy access to all Summit and Eagle county ski resorts, Frisco has made a name for itself as a skier's mecca. In February 2003, Frisco was named one of the top 18 Best Ski Towns in North America by Ski Magazine. It's easy to see why - you can easily reach Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin, Vail, Beaver Creek and Loveland, all within a 45 minute drive from the quiet, charming old-town feel of Frisco. If you're the type that likes to ski someplace different every day, Frisco may be the perfect place for your visit, vacation home or investment property!
The population of Frisco in year 2000 was 2,443 full time residents. A visit to this historical town is not complete without a visit to the Frisco Historical Park. The Historical Park in located in the center of town and contains nineteenth century log structures including a chapel, private cabin residences and a jailhouse.
